Georgia's Displays. You gotta see these (Sept 08)
| In the Spring, Georgia had a mad obsession with creating elaborate displays. She packed dozens of tiny trinkets into a little Velcro purse or a box or her skirt. Then she’d find just the right spot to lay all the trinkets out in an extraordinary display of synchronicity and delight.
The right spot for a Georgia Display might be her bed. Or a step. The kitchen counter. Or a chair next to my computer. I’d find her displays, ranging from expansive to itty-bitty, all over the house.
The sad thing is that I haven’t found a new display in about a month. Like so many other slivers of childhood, it seems the Georgia Displays are becoming a thing of the past. I’m glad I took the pictures. |
